Van Conversion Cushions — What to Order and How to Measure

Cushions are the finish line of a van build. You have done the framing, the lining, the cabinetry, the electrics. The last thing you want is cushions that do not fit the space you spent months building.

Here is how to get it right.

What to order

Most van builds need at least one of these: a sleeping mattress cut to the floor plan, seat cushions for a bench or dinette, backrests, or a seat-to-bed configuration where one piece does both jobs.

If you are doing a seat-to-bed, tell us your hinge setup and what firmness you need for seating vs sleeping. We design the cushion set around how it actually gets used.

How to measure

Length and width at the widest and narrowest points. Any wheel arch locations with measurements from both walls. Any rounded corners and which ones. Any angled ends with the width at both ends. Photos of the platform from above — these tell us more than most descriptions.

Fabric

Our standard fabric is Tencel Knit — breathable, comfortable, and removable for washing. Custom fabrics for seat cushions and seating surfaces are available — ask us what you are looking for and we will let you know what is possible.
